AARP to host "Scam Jam" event in Concord Thursday June 13 to help educate about scams and fraud

As part of Elder Abuse Awareness Month, the New Hampshire Banking Department is working with other organizations to help older adults protect themselves and their finances.

The AARP will host a "Scam Jam" event on Thursday, June 13 at the Faraday Function Center at 48 Airport Road in Concord from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be a keynote address from Paul Greenwood, former San Diego Deputy District Attorney, who led the Elder Abuse Protection Unit for 22 years.

The event will also feature a panel of fraud experts, a resource fair with informational giveaways from organizations around the Granite State (including the New Hampshire Banking Department), experts on site to answer questions and a free lunch. The event is open to everyone of all ages and you do not need to be an AARP member to attend.
