New Hampshire consumers facing foreclosure are encouraged to call 211 or visit www.homehelpnh.org to find a HUD Counselor or legal assistance, or information about upcoming foreclosure prevention workshops. There are no fees for these services.

Beware of Scams

If your lender has started the foreclosure process please note that scam artists may call or email and offer to rescue your home. If the auction is imminent please call 1-877-399-9995 for legal assistance.

Mortgage Scam Red Flags

Beware of rescue offers and anyone that:

Offers to help you and asks for money up front
Offers you a money back guarantee
Tells you NOT to contact you lender
Offers any guarantee to stop foreclosure or modify your loan, especially if they claim they are 99% successful
