National Consumer Protection Week: FTC offers free webinars on avoiding scams and fraud, veterans' affairs and other financial tips
As part of National Consumer Protection week, the Federal Trade Commission is offering free webinars on numerous topics.
Here is the schedule for the remainder of this week:
Tuesday, March 4
1 pm ET: Join the FTC, Consumer Action, AARP, and others for a train-the-trainer webinar for community-based nonprofits about how to spot, avoid, and report scams. Register for the webinar.
2 pm ET: Join the FTC and the International Association of Better Business Bureaus (BBB) for a webinar about fraud trends and advice on how to spot, avoid, and report imposter scams. Register for the webinar.
Wednesday, March 5
11:30 am ET: Join the FTC for a Spanish-language webinar about how to spot, avoid, and report scams. Learn how staying up to date with the latest scams can help you and people you know combat scams and identity theft. Join the webinar.
1 pm: Join the FTC, the National Library for the Blind and Print Disabled, the Association of Bookmobile and Outreach Services, and AARP for a virtual discussion about free federal and community resources for rural patrons, including information to help you spot and avoid scams.
