Residential Mortgage Banker, Mortgage Broker, or Mortgage Servicer Forms.

All new Mortgage Banker, Broker or Servicer licensing in New Hampshire is done via the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).

If your company is currently licensed and changes of ownership or status occur the company must update the NMLS. Follow up information may be requested.

Important information about changes to the MCRs effective April 1, 2024

The Mortgage Call Report will be changing to Form Version 6 (FV6) effective for MCR filings on or after April 1, 2024. CSBS has indicated that a test submission option to test the XML submission in the NMLS will be available sometime in January 2024. MCRs Supplemental State-Specific Form

Licensees that hold a Mortgage Banker, Mortgage Broker, or Mortgage Servicer license with the Department must complete and submit the Supplemental State-Specific Form (SSSF) as part of the Mortgage Call Report beginning April 1, 2024, for period ending Q1 2024 and going forward. At this time, the only section of the SSSF that NH is requiring to be completed is the Licensed Processors and Underwriters section, Fields SF600 – SF660 and Field SF1100.   

MCRs - Lead Generator Activity

Licensees conducting mortgage-related lead generation activity will need to continue to report gross revenue received from NH lead generation in Field AC1100 of the RMLA.  

Refund Policy

All fees for licenses and registrations are nonrefundable and payable in advance. In the event of an overpayment, a refund request would need to be reviewed and approved by the Banking Department.

Laws

Licensees must be in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws. The main NH law that is applicable to mortgages is NH RSA 397-A.

Examinations

Licensees are required to be examined at least every 24 months, though it may be sooner or more frequent as needed. The Consumer Credit FAQ page gives additional information for what is to be expected for examination.
